Musk, Trump's lapdog — the druggie!
Elon Musk has supposedly left the Trump administration. Kirsten Grind and Megan Twohey of the New York Times reported that Musk’s drug consumption during the campaign — they could not speak to his habits in the White House — was “more intense than previously known.” He was a chronic user of ketamine, took Ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms, and traveled with a box that held about 20 pills for daily use. Those in frequent contact with him worried about his frequent drug use, erratic behavior, and mood swings. As a government contractor, he should receive random drug tests, but Grind and Twohey say Musk received advance warning of those drug tests.
Musk vowed that his “Department of Government Efficiency” would cut $2 trillion from the U.S. budget, but he quickly backed off on those numbers. In the end, DOGE claimed savings of $175 billion, but that claim is unverifiable and CNN’s Casey Tolan says it’s probably wrong: less than half of it is backed up with any documentation.

"Trump Always Chickens Out." TACO!
The phrase was coined earlier this month by Robert Armstrong of Financial Times and refers to Trump’s habit of threatening extraordinarily high tariffs and then backing down. Armstrong noted that investors have figured out that they can buy stocks cheaply immediately after Trump’s initial tariff announcement and then sell higher when stocks rebound after he changes his mind. It's another intentional scam of Trump, the grifter, to line the pockets of his wealthy lapdogs.
Trump’s tariff schemes — he has moved them more than 50 times since he took office — are also enriching the Trump family itself. Last week, Trump’s son Eric Trump joined Vietnam’s prime minister Pham Minh Chinh in a groundbreaking ceremony for a $1.5 billion luxury real estate development with three 18-hole golf courses outside the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi. Note: this is the same Vietnam that draft dodger Trump wouldn't serve his country for by faking bone spurs during the Vietnam war.

Late Wednesday night, Trump was handed his biggest loss when the U.S. Court of International Trade ruled his unilateral tariffs on nearly all U.S. trading partners illegal. Call it Liberation Day. The day before, Trump stayed home, didn’t see the press and the sum total of his contribution to society was 10 rage tweets on Truth Social, threatening California, Canada, and Vladimir Putin, while praising himself and blaming Joe Biden for everything wrong on the planet. Trump's mental decline becomes more obvious as each day passes. He is worthless, and the groveling sycophants who continue to worship him are even more so.

Move to Trash!
Trump is a greedy grifter, a sadistic swindler, a petty politician, a lifelong LOSER! His legacy is that he will be forgotten in the annals of history — a do-nothing, a has-been, a speed bump that really didn't matter much in the course of democracy, for our country was founded on democratic principles and we, the people, will ensure that democracy will survive. The fate of every dictator in history ended poorly, and Trump's fate will end poorly as well. The last chapter is not yet written. It's just a matter of time. We will do with Trump as we do with worthless computer files: "Move to Trash." It will be interesting to see how many people other than worthless, brainwashed MAGA Maggots attend Trump's eventual funeral. Even many of Trump's spineless lapdogs and lemmings in the House and Senate will have more important things to do, like play golf or have a good bowel movement.
The incompetent Elon Musk, who left Trump's administration today, will have a legacy as bad as, or worse than, Trump. Musk came nowhere near his initial target of $2 trillion in savings. Like Trump, he kept moving the goal posts — from $2 trillion to $1 trillion, then to $150 billion. His 130 day tenure was marked by legal setbacks, overstated savings claims, and little evidence DOGE made things more efficient. Musk, like Trump, is a pathetic failure. "Move to Trash."

Noted historian and Boston College professor, Heather Cox Richardson, revealed some things about Trump in her substack today that must be read by everyone in America, and most especially by the low-life MAGA Maggots who voted for him.
Trump and his administration suffered a 96% loss rate in federal courts in the month of May. Those losses were nonpartisan: 72.2% of Republican-appointed judges and 80.4% of Democratic-appointed judges ruled against the administration.
U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan ruled that 14 states can proceed with their lawsuit against billionaire Elon Musk and the “Department of Government Efficiency” saying, “Musk and DOGE’s conduct is ‘unauthorized by any law.’”
U.S. District Judge Richard Leon struck down Trump’s March 27 executive order targeting the law firm WilmerHale, saying, “The First Amendment prohibits government officials from retaliating against individuals for engaging in protected speech.”
U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis denied Trump’s motion for a 30-day extension of the deadline for it to answer the complaint in the lawsuit over the rendition of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Despite five hearings on the case, Trump’s lawyers didn’t indicate they needed any more time, but today—the day their answer was due—they suddenly asked for 30 more days. Xinis wrote that they “expended no effort in demonstrating good cause. Trump is well known for using procedural delays to stop the courts from administering justice, and it is notable that Trump's lawyers have generally not been arguing that they will win cases on the merits. Instead, they are making procedural arguments.
Political scientist Adam Bonica notes that there is a script for rising authoritarians: when the courts rule against the leader, the leader and his loyalists attack judges as biased and dangerous, just as Trump and his cronies have been doing.
Trump is working to delegitimize the judicial system. He is pardoning individuals who have already been convicted of crimes. On Monday, he pardoned former Culpeper County, Virginia, sheriff Scott Jenkins, a longtime Trump supporter whom a jury of his peers convicted of conspiracy, mail and wire fraud, and seven counts of bribery.
Trump also pardoned Paul Walczak, a former nursing home executive who pleaded guilty to tax crimes in 2024. The pardon arrived after Walczak’s mother donated at least $1 million to Trump.
Trump also pardoned reality TV stars Julie and Todd Chrisley, who were sentenced to 7 and 12 years in prison for conspiracy to defraud banks of $36 million and tax evasion. Their daughter spoke at the 2024 Republican National Convention.

- Marco Rubio, past Trump rival and now Trump lapdog

- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, another Trump lapdog who was once a Trump rival
- Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, who is term-limited as Virginia’s governor
- Kristi Noem, the former governor of South Dakota, and the bimbo currently mismanaging the office of Homeland Security Secretary. Heather Cox Richardson, the noted Boston College historian, reported in her substack this morning that Trump's erratic behavior was on display this weekend in two public speeches: one to this year’s graduates at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, and the other at Arlington National Cemetery. While both speeches are traditionally nonpartisan, Trump indicated he would make them partisan when he wore his red MAGA hat at West Point.
Trump began both speeches by sticking to a script but then, as usual, quickly veered off course. At West Point on Saturday, his speech went on for over an hour. He attacked diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. He then veered off into immigration, trophy wives, and a chat about golf. Outside the gates of West Point, protesters appropriately gathered with drums, banners and signs to condemn Trump’s attack on American democracy. Resistance is now more important than ever.
At Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, Trump veered off into a dig at his predecessor, President Joe Biden, then continued with inappropriate self-boasting, noting that he will be president for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Big fucking deal, Little Donnie. No one gives a shit that you're in office!
Richardson also reported that Trump’s social media account was similarly inappropriate. His message on Memorial Day — a solemn day to honor those American military personnel who died in service to the country — began: “HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL, INCLUDING THE SCUM THAT SPENT THE LAST FOUR YEARS TRYING TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRY THROUGH WARPED RADICAL LEFT MINDS….” Then that message quickly took a turn toward his recurring attacks on judges — hardly a Memorial Day message about the heroes that gave their lives for our freedom.

On Memorial Day!
Memorial Day is a time-honored national holiday to remember those who gave up their lives for democracy — for all of us. It’s an appropriate time, as Trump and his MAGA know-nothings throw aside American values (e.g., empathy, selflessness, ingenuity, diversity, equity, inclusion), to appreciate the sacrifice of all those who have served.
Yet there is a group who obviously didn't pay attention in history class — Trump's MAGA Maggots! These are the low-IQ people who cast their votes in last November's election to put the neofascist MAGA cult leader in the White House — a draft dodger with no service to our country, a malignant narcissist who skipped the April 4, 2025 solemn dignified transfer ceremony to receive the bodies of four soldiers killed in Lithuania in order to attend a Saudi-backed golf tournament at his Doral club and then dine with Saudi golf execs and sponsors at a $1 million-per-head “MAGA Inc.” fundraising dinner at Mar-a-Lago. The HuffPost reported back in September 2020 that of the 96 dignified transfers that took place from the start of Trump's first term, Trump had only attended four.
It is obscene that the wreath laid today at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington will be put there by a draft-dodging coward who called members of the armed forces "suckers" and "losers."

'Tariff Tyrant Trump' causes Americans to pay more
As economists told 'Tariff Tyrant Trump' before he imposed his retaliatory tariffs, tariffs are only a tax on Americans, and now we're seeing how accurate those economists were.
Among the levies asshole Trump has imposed is a 10% baseline tariff for most imports and a 30% tariff on most Chinese goods. Some goods, such as steel and aluminum, face even higher rates.
Many retailers have issued warnings that they won’t, as Trump has suggested, “eat” the additional costs caused by those import taxes. They've issued a "fuck you" to the Imbecile-In-Chief. These companies work for their shareholders, and not for Trump. That means anything from groceries and clothing to toys and cars are costing Americans more.

Trump, the nation's Lying Bastard, lied again Thursday night to a group of 200 investors at a dinner at his private golf club in Sterling, VA. The event rewarded the largest investors in his cryptocurrency venture, and a video surfaced yesterday with the beady-eyed bastard lying to the attendees, saying, "The country is doing really well. We have no inflation. Costs are way down. Oil was just at $1.99, $1.98 a gallon, which we haven’t seen in years."
FACT: The current inflation rate is 2.3%, and the cost of eggs has increased by 49.3% compared to the previous year.
So what planet is this delusional asshole from? The saddest part is that the event's attendees, a group of brainwashed MAGA cult members and lemmings, sat and listened to Trump's lying bullshit. In the MAGA world, stupidity is a badge of honor.
Every time this traitor opens his mouth, it's either a lie or some type of vendetta or form of retaliation or retribution. This is not an American president. Yesterday, Trump, the vengeful and vindictive vigilante, revoked Harvard University’s ability to enroll international students, citing the university’s refusal to turn over the conduct records of foreign students requested by the Department of Homeland Security last month.
Harvard has become ground zero for Trump's clash with elite U.S. universities as it seeks to influence some campus programming, policies, hiring, and admissions by threatening to cut off federal benefits. Four of our nation's current Supreme Court justices went to Harvard Law School.
Trump is an unhinged, fascist authoritarian. As Robert Reich, the former Secretary of Labor, said, "Throughout history, tyrants have understood that their major enemy is an educated citizenry. Trump's 'Big UGLY Bill' is as UGLY as Trump himself
Trump's worthless Republican sycophants passed his "One Big UGLY Bill" in the House yesterday by only one vote, 215 to 214.
Here's what Trump's worthless ass-sniffers voted for that negatively affects Americans, so remember all of this when it comes to voting out these Republican lemmings:
- The bill cuts Medicare by $500 billion
- 8.6 million needy people will lose Medicaid coverage, with $715 billion in cuts to the program
- The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will be cut by $300 billion, causing more than 2.7 million American households to lose benefits
- The tax cuts in the bill will benefit only the rich at the expense of the middle class and the poor
- The top 0.1 percent of earners will gain $390,000 per year from the bill
- Americans earning between $17,000 and $51,000 per year will lose about $700 per year
- Americans earning less than $17,000 per year will lose more than $1,000 per year
- The bill increases ICE’s detention budget from $3.4 billion a year to $45 billion through September 2029, a staggering 365% increase on an annual basis that would permit ICE to detain at least 100,000 people at a time, and also increases ICE’s budget for transportation and removal operations by 500%, from the current $721 million to $14.4 billion
- Any person who crosses the border and is apprehended by Border Patrol would be charged a $5,000 “fee” (current law allows the government to penalize a person for crossing improperly with a maximum of a $250 fine)
- Similarly, any person ordered deported for missing a court hearing would be charged a $5,000 “fee”
- Trump will charge people to apply for asylum — with the fee set at an unwaivable $1,000 minimum
- Trump's bill will add $3.8 Trillion to the national debt over 10 years, and we will all pay for Trump's added debt through taxes and higher interest rates
- The wealthy, who are those who lend to the U.S. government, will benefit by collecting the interest on this added debt
- The $400 million aircraft from Qatar is a personal gift for Trump, in spite of the lies Trump tells, because he will be eligible to use it after we oust his sorry ass from the presidency

Another Trump MAGA Maggot appointee reveals her incredible stupidity
Kristi Noem, the babbling MAGA bimbo who is Trump's Homeland Security Secretary, proved beyond any doubt yesterday that she too is another MAGA appointee completely unqualified for the job when, during testimony before the Senate homeland security committee, Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) asked Noem to define habeas corpus following reports that the White House was considering suspending this right. Noem fumbled. She defined the meaning of habeas corpus as “a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country.”
Hassan interjected, saying, “No, let me stop you, ma’am … That’s incorrect. Habeas corpus is the legal principle that requires that the government provide a public reason for detaining and imprisoning people. If not for that protection, the government could simply arrest people, including American citizens, and hold them indefinitely for no reason. Habeas corpus is the foundational right that separates free societies like America from police states like North Korea. As a senator from the “Live Free or Die” state, this matters a lot to me and my constituents, and to all Americans,” Senator Hassan said.
Noem’s habit in these hearings was to simply ignore questions and to immediately go on the attack, a typical MAGA approach, but Noem was too stupid to realize that wouldn't work with Senator Hassan.
When Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) asked Noem how she planned to meet the needs of American people when the administration is cutting 20% of FEMA employees and the agency has lost most of its leadership, Noem again reached in her MAGA bag of lame excuses, talking over him and saying the problem was that the Biden administration had failed the American people. Republican Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo) then asked Noem what she would do about pending federal disaster declaration requests for the state of Missouri — which has been wracked by a series of deadly tornadoes — and which has not received any assistance from the Trump administration. A prominent Republican lawmaker like Hawley begging a Republican administration to approve emergency aid for a Republican state is a sign of how badly federal agencies responsible for the welfare of vulnerable populations have eroded under Trump.

Walmart is set to hike prices due solely to Trump's tariffs!
That's right, folks. Asshole Trump is the sole cause!
Reports that Walmart will raise prices because of the tariffs have Trump and his legion of lapdog officials panicking. Walmart is the largest retailer in the United States, with a 2023 retail revenue of $534 billion. Higher prices will hurt poorer Americans, particularly those in rural areas, the demographic filled with ass-kissing MAGA Maggots most likely to have supported Trump in the past.
Trump wants Walmart to "eat" the tariffs. Trump can go kiss the Walton family's ass! Walmart is a public company responsible to its shareholders, not to Trump, the unhinged, fascist dictator.

The U.S. credit rating was just downgraded
Moody’s, the ratings firm, announced this past Friday that the U.S. government’s rising debt levels will grow further if the Trump Republican package of new tax cuts is enacted, making lending to the United States even riskier, so it downgraded the U.S. credit rating for the first time since 1917 from Aaa to Aa1. Moody’s is the third of three major credit-rating agencies to downgrade the credit rating of the United States, following Fitch and Standard & Poor's.
The unqualified asshole in the Oval Office is once again trying to blame President Biden, but the real cause is one word: TRUMP!
The worthless, do-nothing, kiss-Trump's-ass right-wing Republicans in Congress have already used the Moody’s downgrade to justify deeper spending cuts in Medicaid, food stamps, and other social programs that lower-income Americans depend on.

- They’ll pay even more interest on the growing debt — to the super-rich.
- They’ll pay higher interest rates on all other long-term debt (as higher rates on Treasury bonds waft through the economy, they raise borrowing costs on everything from mortgages to auto loans).
- The debt crisis will give Republicans even more excuse to do what they’re always wanting to do: slash safety nets. So many Americans could lose benefits they rely on, such as Medicaid and food stamps.
There has never been a more incompetent president in all of American history than Trump. He is flying by the seat of his pants, and the seat of his pants really stinks. Trump needs to go. He is a traitor to America!
In international news, Romanian voters rejected a far-right nationalist who deliberately styled his behavior after Trump and whose victory, until recently, was being treated as a foregone conclusion. Trump defies the Supreme Court. Trump's the LOSER!
Trump, the tyrannical, beady-eyed bastard in the Oval Office, is itching for a showdown with the Supreme Court — a battle he can't win. The rule of law will win — not Trump.
Friday the Supreme Court ruled that Trump cannot deport a group of Venezuelans while the matter is being litigated in the courts, and he can't merely assume that the eighteenth-century Alien Enemies Act gives him authority. It doesn't.
The big news is that the three Trump appointees — Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett — joined the Chief Justice and the three Democratic appointees to set a limit on Trump. And Trump hates to be limited or leashed, so he lashed out in his worn out, juvenile, capital letter style on his failing social media platform. Aw, too bad. That would warrant an impeachment in the House, a conviction in the Senate, and his removal from office. The power the people gave to Trump would finally be rescinded. He'd go back to being "citizen Trump," the felon convicted on 34 separate counts. Trump's insurrectionists and rioters and the rest of his MAGA cult would lose their leader. Like a mafia mob boss, Trump could try to maintain control over his cult from Rikers Island, Guantanamo Bay, El Salvador, or wherever real Americans decide to house him until he dies. But most importantly, democracy will survive and autocracy will die along with the tyranny and neofascism of Trump.
The second term of Trump has opened the eyes of real Americans. It's not just about Trump, however. As Robert Reich, the former Secretary of Labor, wrote, "Trump's lawless cruelty is sickening — as is the cowardice of so many CEOs, Wall Street bankers, law firms, university presidents, publishers, social media titans, Republican politicians, some Democratic politicians, and other so-called 'leaders' who are staying mum or obeying in advance or sucking up to Trump." Automatic trust is a thing of the past. As 1 Thessalonians 5:21 in the Bible says, "Test everything." It encourages a critical evaluation of all things, including the motives and policies of political, business, and church leaders. Not everything is as it first appears.

Protest against Trump and his most colossal failure
Little Donnie's most colossal failure is his unilateral ordering of massive tariffs on our global trade allies and enemies alike.
Trump is undeniably stupid. If he has a functioning brain, and we detect no sign of one, he most certainly has never used it.
First, Trump lied when he declared that foreign trade and economic practices created a national emergency. They didn't. Not even close. There is no national emergency except in the twisted, demented, and cognitively declining mind of traitorous Trump. This was merely Trump's lame excuse to impose tariffs (read: additional taxes) on American citizens. His unconscionable tariffs immediately turned the markets of the world upside down, slowing growth and hastening inflation, and increasing the possibility of recession domestically and around the globe.
Second, the Constitution grants Congress the sole authority to regulate foreign commerce and levy taxes, including import tariffs. Period. Once again, Trump is undermining the rule of law, and we will eventually prosecute him severely for it.
As the Stanford law professor and former U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Michael McConnell said, “No statute expressly authorizes the president to impose tariffs for the nonemergency purposes of raising revenue, improving our long-term balance of trade or winning unrelated concessions on miscellaneous issues.”
Third, other priority initiatives of this administration — Trump’s attacks on existing federal programs, federal elections, colleges and universities, birthright citizenship, and press freedoms — are just as unlawful as his tariffs. Trump is using a well-known concept referred to as "flooding the zone" with fake news and false narratives to take attention away from his many unlawful actions and misdeeds so that people stop being able to figure out what is real and tune out. But the real press is watching closely and reporting them.
Trump may wish he were a king. But in America, the law is king, not the president.
It is high time that all Americans speak out both loudly and continuously in protest against Trump, the unhinged wannabe dictator — the First Amendment of our precious Constitution gives us that right, and we must exercise it.

The convicted felon is trying to end the rule of law in the United States
Trump, the convicted felon in the Oval Office, is "trying to end the rule of law in the United States, recreating the sort of monarchy against which the nation’s founders rebelled," warned respected conservative Judge J. Michael Luttig in The Atlantic. He lists Trump’s pardoning of the convicted January 6 rioters, the arrest of Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan, which Luttig calls “appalling,” the deportation of a U.S. citizen with the child’s mother, and the “investigation” of private citizen Christopher Krebs. Trump "appears to have long ago forgotten that Americans fought the Revolutionary War not merely to secure their independence from the British monarchy but to establish a government of laws, not of men, so that they and future generations of Americans would never again be subject to the whims of a tyrannical king," wrote Luttig.
Judge Luttig noted that for all of Trump’s insistence that he is the victim of the “weaponization” of the federal government against him, “it is Trump who is actually weaponizing the federal government against both his political enemies and countless other American citizens today.”
Judge Luttig wrote that “for not one of his signature initiatives during his first 100 days in office does Trump have the authority under the Constitution and laws of the United States that he claims” — not for tariffs, not for unlawful deportations, not for attacks on colleges and law firms, not for his attacks on birthright citizenship, not for handing power to billionaire Elon Musk and the “Department of Government Efficiency,” not for trying to end due process, not for his attempts to starve government agencies by impounding their funding, not for his vow to regulate federal elections, not for his attacks on the media. Luttig continued, writing, "Thus far, Trump’s presidency has been a reign of lawless aggression by a tyrannical wannabe king, a rampage of presidential lawlessness in which Trump has proudly wielded the powers of the office and the federal government to persecute his enemies, while at the same time pardoning, glorifying, and favoring his political allies and friends. The president’s utter contempt for the Constitution and laws of the United States has been on spectacular display since Inauguration Day. Trump has subverted America’s democracy and corrupted its rule of law."
It is the duty of all Americans to denounce Trump’s lawlessness and personal vendettas, and not to ingratiate ourselves to him and his illegal and unconstitutional processes. Trump, the domestic terrorist, wants to declare martial law
Trump, the domestic terrorist, is looking at extending his authoritarian overreach by suspending the process of habeas corpus, that is, essentially declaring martial law.
Only Congress can suspend habeas corpus — unilateral suspensions by the president are unconstitutional. Our country is not under attack; war has not been declared by Congress. Even Republican Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) went on the record, posting on social media: “Following the Constitution is not a suggestion. It is a guiding force for all of us who work on behalf of the American people."
Trump and the spineless members of his administration are deliberately attacking the fundamental principles of our democratic republic, and they need to be ousted as traitors. Rolling Stone reached out to all 53 Republican senators after defiant Trump said he didn't know whether he needs to honor the nation's founding document. None of them replied. Stupid Trump sees nothing wrong with accepting a bribe!
That's right, folks. "Trump the Gullible" is so stupid that he sees nothing wrong with accepting an outright bribe of a 747-8 aircraft from the Qatari royal family as a gift that would be outfitted as Air Force One. Trump toured the Qatari-owned 747-8 in February when it was parked at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida, near his Mar-a-Lago resort.
Democrats and good government advocates said it was unethical and likely unconstitutional for Qatar to make such a gift. “Nothing says ‘America First’ like Air Force One, brought to you by Qatar,” Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer wrote on X. “It’s not just bribery, it’s premium foreign influence with extra legroom.”
The transfer of the aircraft to Trump would violate the Constitution’s ban on U.S. officials accepting gifts from foreign governments absent congressional approval, but Trump, the wannabe dictator, doesn't care about our nation's laws or about the Constitution. Trump's ambulance-chasing lawyers have already prepared an analysis concluding that it would be legal and constitutional for the Defense Department to accept the plane as a gift and later transfer it to Trump’s presidential library. Presidential library? What's that — a bathroom filled with Mad magazines?
Trump is, without any doubt or without any room for debate, the most stupid person to ever inhabit the Oval Office in the history of the United States.

Warren Buffett's net worth, on the other hand, has grown by $11.5 billion since the start of 2025, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index — the only one of the top 18 billionaires on the list whose personal wealth has grown this year. So, when Warren Buffett gives advice, it's wise to listen.

Pope Leo XIV will set an example for Trump to follow
Yesterday, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost was elected as the 267th pope — the new leader of over 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide. He was born in Chicago, making him the first U.S.-born pope in history.
As historian Heather Cox Richardson pointed out in her substack this morning, new popes choose a papal name to signify the direction of their papacy, and Prevost has taken the name Leo XIV. This is an important nod to Pope Leo XIII, who led the church from 1878 to 1903 and was the father of modern Catholic social teaching. He called for the church to address social and economic issues, and emphasized the dignity of individuals, the common good, community, and taking care of marginalized individuals. In the midst of the Gilded Age, Leo XIII defended the rights of workers, and rejected both socialism and unregulated capitalism.
In his own lifetime, Prevost has aligned himself with many of Pope Francis’s social reforms, and his election appears to be a rejection of hard-line right-wing Catholics in the U.S. and elsewhere who have used their religion to support far-right politics. Vice-President J.D. Vance is one of those hard-line right-wing Catholics. Vance talked of (more accurately "twisted") the concept of ordo amoris, or “order of love,” articulated by Catholic St. Augustine, claiming it justified the MAGA emphasis on family and tribalism and suggesting it justified the mass expulsion of migrants. On February 10th, Pope Francis responded in a letter to American bishops, in which he corrected Vance’s assertion as a false interpretation of Catholic theology. Pope Francis defended the fundamental dignity of every human being and the fundamental rights of migrants, noting that the “rightly formed conscience” would disagree with any program that “identifies the illegal status of some migrants with criminality.” The next day, Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, who said he was “a lifelong Catholic,” told reporters at the White House, “I’ve got harsh words for the Pope…. He ought to fix the Catholic Church and concentrate on his work and leave border enforcement to us.” Homan is a worthless PIG. In response to Vance's assertion, Prevost posted the following response: “JD Vance is wrong: Jesus doesn’t ask us to rank our love for others.”
Just last week, an image of Trump dressed as the pope and sitting on a throne was posted on both the official White House account and on Trump's failing social media. Catholics worldwide were offended. Predictably, Trump lied again, saying, "the Catholics loved it." Trump is a delusional megalomaniac and a malignant narcissist who lies incessantly, constantly blames others for his own shortcomings, and engages in manipulative behaviors in an attempt to control and gain power. Trump is obviously jealous of the new pope's power in leading 1.4 billion Catholics, while the United States only has 62 million Catholics (or 4.4% of 1.4 billion) for him to attempt to brainwash.
As an American-born pope in the model of Pope Francis, Pope Leo XIV might be able to appeal to American far-right Catholics and bring them back into the fold. But today, the ignorant MAGAs responded to the new pope with fury. The worthless right-wing propagandist, Laura Loomer, who is close to Trump, called Pope Leo “another Marxist puppet in the Vatican.” Low-IQ Charlie Kirk suggested he was an “open borders globalist installed to counter Trump.” This is more of the illiterate MAGA cult twisting the truth for its own evil purposes.

Trump's undeniable dementia sets in even faster than anyone thought
Professor Robert Reich reported on Trump's rapid mental decline and dementia in his substack today.
Members of Trump’s own Cabinet discussed whether to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office due to mental incompetence. Trump, whose family has a history of dementia, has sunk quickly into mental instability. He is showing growing signs of dementia, but isn’t facing nearly the same scrutiny from legislators or the press as was President Biden.
One example of Trump's incoherence and his losing it mentally was at a rally in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, in April when he spoke about the famed Civil War battle at Gettysburg. This was Trump's exact quote: “Gettysburg, what an unbelievable battle that was. It was so much, and so interesting, and so vicious and horrible, and so beautiful in so many different ways— it represented such a big portion of the success of this country. Gettysburg, wow — I go to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to look and to watch."
Last September, Trump suggested that the way to prevent wildfires in California’s forest lands is to keep them damp, saying, "They say that there’s so much water up north that I want to have the overflow areas go into your forests and dampen your forests, because if you dampen your forests you're not gonna have these forest fires that are burning at levels that nobody’s ever seen.”
During the last several months of Republican primaries, Trump repeatedly claimed that his opponent Nikki Haley was in charge of Capitol security on January 6. (Haley never had any connection to Capitol security.)
Trump has claimed that whales are being killed by windmills, that he won all 50 states in 2020, that he defeated Barack Obama in 2016, and that General Milley, the ousted chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, should be executed.
These are not rational responses. They are the words of an aging paranoid megalomaniac suffering from dementia. No one so mentally incompetent should either be governing or have access to our nation's nuclear codes.
As far back as 2017, 27 psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals concluded in the book The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President that Trump’s mental health posed a “clear and present danger” to the nation.
As president, he's accomplished nothing except dividing the country with his paranoid, inflated chatter, and since then has mounted an attempted coup against the United States. Trump is mentally incompetent and needs to be removed from office now!

The Conclave begins — Trump's not invited!
The secretive and centuries-old tradition of electing a pope, known as a conclave, began today at the Vatican to replace the liberal Pope Francis who died on April 21st — and Trump's not invited. We're sure this just pisses Trump off beyond belief because he's not the center of attention, and for a malignant narcissist, that's unacceptable. So watch. We predict that Trump will fabricate yet another fake national emergency that he'll claim only his worn-out use of tariffs can solve in order to draw the world's attention back onto himself.
Such tough luck for Little Donnie Dum Dum. Trump will just have to settle for being a worthless traitor to America.
At the conclave, secret ballots will be cast by a group of cardinals, excluding octogenarians — which the cognitively declining and mentally deficient Trump will be in just 408 days — to elect a new pope, requiring a two-thirds majority.
The conclave of 1268 was the longest in history — three years — before Pope Gregory X was elected. Someone must have told Trump about those conclaves from centuries ago, as political manipulation and outright bribery were common then, similar to Trump's campaigns. The first conclave in the Sistine Chapel took place in 1492 and was marred by scandal. Pope Alexander VI, a member of the wealthy Borgia family known for his lavish lifestyle and many children, secured his election by bribing fellow cardinals with land, money, and lucrative positions in the Vatican's bureaucracy. Sound familiar?

Trump wants to reopen Alcatraz
Yesterday, asshole Trump posted on his failing social media site that he wants to reopen Alcatraz to serve as a symbol of law, order, and justice, and to make America great again. Trump is full of shit!
Alcatraz was closed in 1963, after 29 years of operation, because it was too expensive to operate: more than three times as expensive as any other federal prison. Since then, it has become one of the most popular sites of the National Park Service, located as it is in San Francisco Bay, easily accessible by ferry.
As noted historian Heather Cox Richardson reported in her substack, Trump is throwing any strong words he can at the wall to distract from a series of news stories that are not going his way.
Of particular note is that Trump’s popularity is falling in rural areas, which make up his base, as rural areas are being hardest hit by Trump's policies.
Trump's blatant corruption is also in plain view, like his exempting the products of his big-oil donors from tariffs, slashing the division of the Internal Revenue Service that audits high-earning individuals and corporations, or the grifter's offering businessmen a one-on-one meeting with him at Mar-a-Lago for $5 million, or a group dinner for $1 million. Who would pay even a penny to meet with this incompetent bastard?
And then there is the Signal scandal, which got even worse yesterday when Joseph Cox and Micah Lee of 404 Media reported that a hacker was able to breach the TeleMessage app administration officials have been using in about 15–20 minutes. The hacker retrieved messages, usernames and passwords, and data related to Customs and Border Protection and banking institutions.
Trump is also getting hammered on his tariffs. He thinks he can just make a decree and watch the world jump. But the economic effects of those decrees have had a shocking downward spiral on the American economy. Trump promised that foreign countries would pay for tariffs. Our nation's top economists told him otherwise, but he is too bull-headed to listen, and now everyday Americans are being forced to pay for Trump's gross ignorance. Angry at being asked how trade negotiations are going with the countries on which he imposed his tariffs, Trump last night told reporters on Air Force One: “At the end of this, I'll set my own deals because I set the deal. They don't set the deal. I set the deal. I set the deal.... I'm going to be setting the deal. I'll be setting the tariff." Just listen to his juvenile repetitiveness. Little Donnie Dum Dum is a fool, and now even his MAGA Maggot base plainly sees him for what he really is!

And the Pulitzer Prizes go to....
The prestigious Pulitzer Prizes were established by Joseph Pulitzer, a Hungarian-American journalist and newspaper publisher, whose newspapers transformed journalism by marketing to a mass audience, not just the elite. Pulitzer left money to Columbia University upon his death in 1911. A portion of his bequest was used to found the School of Journalism in 1912 and establish the Pulitzer Prizes, which were first awarded in 1917.

If I only had a brain
Noted historian Heather Cox Richardson's substack is a must-read today. She painted a clear picture of the demented mind of Trump.
Yesterday, on NBC News’s Meet the Press, reporter Kristen Welker asked Trump if he agreed that every person in the United States is entitled to due process. Even though he vowed to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” in his oath of office, Trump suggested he could ignore due process because honoring it was too slow. If that's the case, using Trump's logic, then the citizens of the United States should be able to throw Trump's fat ass out of the White House immediately, without any impeachment process and without any trial, which would be too slow.
This is not about speed. It's about citizens' rights under the Constitution of the United States — rights that Trump vowed to uphold. If he's not going to uphold the Constitution, then he should step down immediately or be thrown out on his ass. The United States of America is not a kingdom or a dictatorship — it's a democracy founded on ideals that Trump is too stupid to know anything about.
The U.S. Constitution guarantees that “no person shall…be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.” In 1993, conservative Justice Antonin Scalia wrote: “it is well established that the Fifth Amendment entitles aliens to due process of law in deportation proceedings.” That was the ruling from a Republican Supreme Court judge in Reno v. Flores.
Trump told Ashley Parker and Michael Scherer of The Atlantic: “The first time, I had two things to do—run the country and survive; I had all these crooked guys,” he said. “And the second time, I run the country and the world.” Sorry, Little Donnie, but you don't run the world — that's a figment of your delusional imagination — and you're doing a poor job of running the country as well.
Another glaring example of Trump's complete lack of intelligence is his brainless choice of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. for Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. Kennedy is neither a doctor nor a public health expert, and does not believe in the foundational principle of modern medicine: germ theory. As measles continues to spread across the U.S., a spokesperson for Health and Human Services said Friday that Kennedy will turn the country’s health agencies away from promoting vaccination, which is 97% effective in preventing the disease, and toward exploring new treatments for it, including vitamins. For decades, vaccinations have proven safe and effective at preventing the life-threatening disease. Kennedy has tapped David Geier, who does not have a medical degree and was disciplined in Maryland for practicing medicine without a license, to perform a study to show the possible links between vaccines and autism, although repeated scholarly studies have shown no link. This backwards and unfounded thinking is what we get from a know-nothing idiot like Trump. As the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz so articulately said, "If I only had a brain."

Trump's false version of reality is not the truth!
Trump is a fake. He's been a fake for as long as history allows us to look in the rear view mirror. He lied about bone spurs to avoid the draft. He mismanaged his businesses so poorly that he filed for bankruptcy six times. He masterminded an insurrection — a riot — at our nation's Capitol, where five people were killed and 174 police officers were injured, and then called it a "day of love" and a peaceful protest. Then, after he regained office in 2025, he pardoned his fellow insurrectionists and traitors to America, who he called "hostages" and "unbelievable patriots." In March of this year, without the benefit of a trial, Trump sent 238 migrants from Texas to a maximum security prison in El Salvador. 60 Minutes revealed that most of these men have no criminal records. Tom Homan, Trump's border czar, is threatening Wisconsin governor Tony Evers with arrest after the governor issued a memo to state workers directing them to check with a lawyer before turning over documents or other items to the goons from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Trump, our nation's #1 traitor, and Homan are the ones who belong in prison.
Trump is on a campaign to establish his false version of reality as truth by pushing his administration's fake talking points, which his influencers and brainwashed MAGA Maggot cult members then rebroadcast and amplify on far right social media platforms.
To prove Trump's diminishing mental and cognitive capabilities and increasingly erratic behavior, Trump suggested on Tuesday that he’d like to be Pope. So he posted an AI-generated image of himself wearing papal robes and a miter on his failing social media site. Trump is a raving lunatic with a sick, sick mind.

Trump never read the Declaration of Independence!
It was obvious. The ignorant doofus in the Oval Office never read our nation's Declaration of Independence!
In his recent interview with Trump, Terry Moran of ABC News revealed that Trump has a problem with a disconnect between his actions and the country’s principles. Trump had a copy of the Declaration of Independence installed in the Oval Office, and Moran asked the president what it means to him. Trump’s answer made it clear he has never read the document.
Listen to Trump's juvenile and uneducated answer: “Well, it means exactly what it says,” he answered. “It's a declaration, it’s a declaration of unity, and love and respect and it means a lot. And it's something very special to, to our country.”
Trump is so full of bullshit that he stinks!
The Declaration of Independence asserts the absolute right of the people to alter or abolish a government that becomes destructive of their rights, and that's exactly what we're going to do. It's time to get rid of vindictive, dictatorial Trump, the traitor, and his MAGA cult!

Like Trump, Musk's mismanagement is legendary!
Elon Musk, the unelected immigrant from South Africa who vowed to slash $2 trillion from government spending, said DOGE will save only about $150 billion — 15% of his goal. The New York Times, however, reported that number is largely unsubstantiated. The nonpartisan nonprofit Partnership for Public Service estimates that DOGE cuts have actually cost taxpayers $135 billion this fiscal year, not including lawsuits.
Musk's foray into politics so badly hurt Tesla’s performance that it saw a 71% drop in profits in the first quarter of 2025. The Wall Street Journal reported that Tesla’s board has begun looking for a new chief executive. Three days ago, a Washington Post–ABC News–Ipsos poll found that only 35% of Americans approve “of the way Elon Musk is handling his job in the Trump administration,” while 57% disapprove.
These are the kinds of people Trump picks for his administration. Incompetence breeds incompetence!

Goodbye and good riddance to two Trump lackeys
Trump's national security advisor, Mike Waltz, was finally fired from that position yesterday for his role in "Signal Gate," the Trump administration's violation of national security via an unsecure phone app which was used to discuss planning for a sensitive March 15th military operation against Houthi militants in Yemen. Trump's officials on the chat laid out the attack plan including the timings that U.S. warplanes would take off to bomb targets in Yemen, with the first texts barely half an hour before they launched. Waltz's deputy, Alex Wong, is also out. Trump's worthless Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, who uploaded the classified information in that chat and shared it in another unsecure chat with his wife, brother, and personal friends, is still in the Cabinet.
Now it's time to get rid of Trump himself — the master of disaster — and we'll be on our way to the restoration of democracy.

Trump causes worst stock market performance since Nixon in 1973
In only 100 days, Trump has managed to drive the stock market down to its lowest point in 52 years! The economy is shrinking under Trump. Let's state it factually and bluntly — Trump is an incompetent asshole! On average, the S&P 500 rises 2.1% in the first 100 days for any president. In Trump's case, however, the S&P 500 dropped 7.9% in his first 100 days. At one point in April, the S&P 500 dropped 10% in two days under Trump! Under the incompetence of Trump, you can watch the evaporation of your retirement savings in real time.
Yesterday, the asshole posted the following on his failing social media site: “This is Biden’s Stock Market, not Trump’s. I didn’t take over until January 20th." The malignant narcissist was predictably casting blame for his failures on others. The saddest part is that the drop in the stock market occurred during the first 100 days of Trump's regime. It had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with President Biden. Interestingly, back in January of this year when the economy was booming under Biden, before Trump took office, Trump tried to take credit, posting, “THIS IS THE TRUMP STOCK MARKET BECAUSE MY POLLS AGAINST BIDEN ARE SO GOOD THAT INVESTORS ARE PROJECTING THAT I WILL WIN, AND THAT WILL DRIVE THE MARKET UP.” The FACTS are that in President Biden’s four years, the U.S. added 16 million jobs, unemployment was at its lowest rate in 50 years, real wages for the bottom 80% of Americans were increasing, and inflation levels had come down. Trump would be nothing if he wasn't a shameless LIAR!
Narcissistic Trump just posted, "Tariffs will soon start kicking in, and companies are starting to move into the USA in record numbers." Trump is a delusional mental case! The only people who believe his bullshit are his ignorant MAGA Maggots. Reality, however, doesn't mesh with any of his lies. Don't ever forget, folks, this bullshit comes from a so-called "businessman" who is so incompetent that he claimed bankruptcy six times!
Today is May Day; but "Mayday!" is also a distress call that is appropriate with Trump in office. Our solidarity is necessary to overcome the imminent dangers our country now faces — all from Trump.
