Natalie Harp, a former host on the conservative cable network One America News, accompanies Trump on his daily golf trips with a laptop and sometimes a printer to show him "uplifting" news articles and social media posts that might lift his spirits.
This week in Trump's criminal trial, hearing what potential jurors really had to say about him was very upsetting for him. He glowered and scowled and frowned and eventually tried to leave the courtroom so quickly that he had to be told to sit down by the judge.

Lazy ass Trump couldn't keep from falling asleep in the courtroom on the first day of his first criminal trial yesterday, and this guy wants to be commander-in-chief? Sorry, Trump's not qualified.
Opening statements had not yet begun on Monday when Trump already dozed off.
Trump’s eyes appeared to close again as Judge Merchan continued laying out the ground rules to the five women and seven men from various parts of Manhattan who were seated as the jury of his peers.
The prosecution then laid out three different catch-and-kill deals that helped Trump get elected, involving Trump's “fixer," Michael Cohen, actively colluding with a media enterprise… to keep [negative information] from coming out before the election.”
Trump is SCUM and has no business running for any office in the land. According to a Marist National Poll of registered voters, Trump's support among independents has declined from 38 percent to 30 percent in early April, while Biden has increased his share from 33 to 34 percent at the same time. The poll, which was conducted from April 16 to April 18, also found that 51 percent of those surveyed would vote for Biden, while only 48 percent would vote for Trump. Trump is a LOSER.

Trump's diminished reality as a criminal defendant will become clear in humbling fashion during opening statements in his first criminal trial today.
David Pecker, the former chairman of the National Enquirer’s parent company and a central player in the scheme to pay hush money to adult-film actress Stormy Daniels to cover up her alleged affair with Trump ahead of the 2016 presidential election, is expected to be the first to testify against Trump.
As the then-chairman and CEO of American Media Inc., Pecker was involved in numerous “catch-and-kill” schemes orchestrated on Trump’s behalf, including Trump's inability to keep his pants zipped by having an illicit affair with Stormy Daniels.
According to court filings, Pecker contacted Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, who negotiated the deal to “purchase Daniels' silence” for $130,000. That $130,000 payment, which was reimbursed to Cohen by the Trump Organization, is at the center of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump for “falsifying New York business records in order to conceal damaging information and unlawful activity from American voters before and after the 2016 election.”
Pecker has been granted immunity in exchange for his testimony.

Strip Trump of Secret Service Protection
Mississippi Representative Bennie Thompson, ranking member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, is bringing forth the Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable Former Protectees Act — or the DISGRACED Act — which would terminate Secret Service protection for individuals convicted of either state or local felonies. He has introduced new legislation that would strip felons of Secret Service protection, specifically mentioning Trump in case he's convicted in one or more of his criminal trials.
A source in Thompson's office told Newsweek that the bill would affect anyone who is sentenced for a felony and would otherwise have Secret Service protection, adding: "Nobody should have special treatment, and that happens to include the former president."
The bill raises no punitive concerns, Thompson added, saying its purpose "is to hand off inmate protection to relevant prison authorities rather than involve the Secret Service."

Reacher star Alan Ritchson was succinct and accurate in calling Trump a "rapist and a con man" in a Hollywood Reporter interview. We know it; America knows it; Trump himself knows it.
“Trump is a rapist and a con man,” Ritchson said, “And yet the entire Christian church seems to treat him like he’s their poster child and it’s unreal."
While the backlash from Trump's anti-establishment MAGA Maggots was predictably loud, there were also plenty of people who applauded the star for speaking his mind.
Trump is a convicted sexual abuser, having been found guilty by a jury of his peers of sexual abuse against writer E. Jean Carroll. Ritchson was also a victim of sexual abuse by a photographer during his previous career as a model for brands like Abercrombie & Fitch and Calvin Klein.

Trump naps during court proceedings
Nighty-night, Donnie! Trump was the first former U.S. president to stand trial for a criminal offense, and he was also the first to fall asleep during this historical court case.
Day One of Trump's trial on charges related to a 2016 hush money payment to porn actress Stormy Daniels began in Manhattan — and tensions ran high — but Trump napped. “Imagine committing so many crimes, you get bored at your own trial,” quipped Jon Stewart on the Daily Show.
Judge Juan Merchan threatened to punish Trump separately for violating his gag order or if he should disrupt the court or fail to attend even a single day of the trial. “If you do not show up there will be an arrest,” Merchan said of the requirement that the defendant attend every day of the proceedings. Trump didn’t seem riveted by the action, according to reports. Maggie Haberman of The New York Times reported that Trump appeared “to be sleeping” during the proceedings. "His jaw kept falling on his chest and his mouth kept going slack," she said.
Trump later requested to be excused from the trial next Thursday so that he may be in attendance as the Supreme Court hears arguments about whether he is immune from prosecution for acts he committed while president. Merchan denied Trump’s request. “Your client is a criminal defendant in New York,” the judge told Trump’s lawyers. “He is required to be here. He is not required to be in the Supreme Court. I will see him here next week.”

Polls suggested that at least one conviction on any of the nearly 90 felony charges across four criminal trials Trump is facing would result in swing state voters abandoning him in considerable numbers. A majority of Americans would not vote for Trump in the 2024 election if he is a convicted felon by the time of November's race, including more than half of Republican voters, according to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll.
The playing field is truly going to be leveled in court starting tomorrow, and that is when accountability will come knocking hard for Trump and his many baseless lies. The start of Monday's trial will finally put Trump on the same level as any other citizen undergoing a criminal trial. It's about time!

Trump is a convicted sexual abuser who continues to falsely claim he won the 2020 election in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan, but the truth is that he lost all three of those states in the last presidential election. In Pennsylvania, Biden won by 81,660 votes; in Michigan, Biden won by about 21,000 votes; and in Wisconsin, Biden won by more than 20,000 votes. These are the FACTS, not more of Trump's lies.
Trump has also criticized voting methods, disparaging mail-in voting. "Mail-in voting is totally corrupt. Get that through your head," he said. Trump has made unfounded claims about the process which he claims, in part, led to his 2020 election loss. Despite Trump's repeated, baseless claims about mail-in vote fraud, no widespread fraud has ever been found.
Trump also falsely claimed that Democrats are "importing voters" to allow non-U.S. citizens participate in the U.S. elections. "That's why they are allowing these people to come in — people that don't speak our language — they are signing them up to vote," the liar said at a January rally in Iowa. Trump speaks out of his ass without using his brain. PolitiFact reported that it has found no effort by Democrats to register people in the country illegally.

In a radio interview this week, Wisconsin Senate candidate Eric Hovde suggested that senior citizens living in nursing homes are not qualified to vote — an idea that has roots in one of Trump's more outlandish claims about the 2020 election.
Hovde told radio host Guy Benson, "Well, if you’re in a nursing home, you only have five, six months life expectancy. Almost nobody in a nursing home is in a point to vote."

President Biden holds lead over Trump
A new Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that President Biden now holds a four point lead over traitorous Trump ahead of the November presidential election as Trump prepares for the start of the first of four upcoming criminal trials.
41% of registered voters in the five-day poll, which closed on Monday, said they would vote for President Biden, a Democrat, if the election were held today, compared with 37% who picked Trump. That 4 point lead was up from a 1 point lead Biden held in a Reuters/Ipsos poll in March.
Some 22% of registered voters in the poll said they had not picked a candidate, were leaning toward third-party options or might not vote at all. Trump led among respondents without a college degree (remember, it was Trump who said, "I love the poorly educated") while Biden led among those who had one.
Trump is due to appear in a Manhattan courtroom on April 15th to face the start of the first of four pending criminal trials.

Women voters are set to play a pivotal role in defeating Trump in November’s general election. Millions more women than men have registered to vote in recent cycles, and they’ve bested men in turnout numbers in every presidential election since 1964.

A "great honor" to be locked up?
Trump said that it would be a “great honor” to be jailed for violating a gag order.
This mentally twisted autocrat and convicted sexual abuser is now trying to portray himself as a victim of political persecution by comparing himself to Nelson Mandela. Yeah, right. A better comparison would be to Benedict Arnold, the most notorious traitor in America until Trump came along. “Imagine being so self-centered that you compare yourself to Jesus Christ and Nelson Mandela all within the span of little more than a week: that’s Donald Trump for you,” the Biden campaign’s director of Black media, Jasmine Harris, said in a statement.
A recent Washington Post analysis of Trump’s social media posts since the start of his campaign in late 2022 shows that Trump had directly attacked judges or their families by name more than 130 times, and yet, because of special treatment and the law's double standard, this vindictive pig is still walking free.
On Saturday, Trump dared Judge Merchan to throw him in jail. Well, since Trump has shown that he always gets what he wants, then we say give him that "honor" he wants and lock him up in Rikers Island — but in with the general population and not as the "warden's librarian," and see how long he lasts before he changes his tune.

Trump's standard operating procedure is delay, delay, delay! And he's trying to use that worn-out method yet again to disrupt and delay his hush money criminal trial just days before it's set to begin. Trump's latest delay tactic is to demand a new judge in the case. Trump is demanding that Manhattan Judge Juan M. Merchan step aside from the case.

The hush money case centers on allegations that Trump falsified his company's records to hide the nature of payments to his former lawyer Michael Cohen, who helped Trump bury negative stories during his 2016 campaign. Among other things, Cohen paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 to suppress her claims of an illicit, extramarital sexual encounter with Trump years earlier.
Get it straight, Donnie: In spite of the FACT that you're a rambling, incoherent, vindictive, and lying asshole, you're nonetheless going on trial, a jury of your peers is going to find you guilty, and you're going to prison where you belong!

Raw Story reports that the danger and consequences locally and globally of electing Trump for a second time must be stressed every hour of every day between now and Nov. 5th, as Trump poses a grave threat to national security both at home and abroad.
This is not about the selling of an overpriced Bible by a lifelong atheist portraying himself as a Christian on Easter Sunday, or about the “crucifixion” of Trump by a “deep state.” It has everything to do with the institutional failure of the U.S. criminal justice system to treat Trump — who faces 91 felony charges across four separate criminal cases — the same as anyone else who threatens the fair administration of the due process of justice.
A victory this fall by Trump would threaten the end of American democracy as we have known it for some 250 years. As Raw Story so articulately stated, "at best, a second Trump administration would usher in a new domestic order of illiberal democracy and disinformation. At worst, it would result in the United States’ entry into an anti-democratic axis of autocratic, plutocratic and kleptocratic nations."
Trump’s desired anti-democratic or authoritarian regime is being brought to the nation by the thinking and planning of the Heritage Foundation in its 920-page "Project 2025" report, a threat which "promises revenge, oppression, and autocratic rule." This report contains concrete plans and a detailed strategy of how to take over and transform American government into a machine that serves Trump's autocratic revenge. The 17-page forward of that report, written by Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, "captures and oozes the siege mentality, self-victimization, and grievance-driven lust for revenge that is fueling the Right and animating the plans for a second Trump administration."
Trump must be stopped, at all costs, from ever occupying the White House ever again. Open recognition of this reality by every American must become a part of their everyday thinking as we move closer to the 2024 presidential election.

Chris Quinn, the editor of Cleveland's Plain Dealer newspaper, wrote, “We tell the truth, even when it offends some of the people who pay us for information.”
“The truth is that Donald Trump undermined faith in our elections in his false bid to retain the presidency,” Quinn continued. “He sparked an insurrection intended to overthrow our government and keep himself in power. Trump gets further gagged — but not nearly enough!
New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan slapped Trump with an expanded gag order due to Trump's vitriolic attacks on his family, saying that Trump's statements represented a very real threat to the integrity of the trial.
This is the least Judge Merchan should have done. In our opinion, Trump should have been cuffed and locked up in a cell in Riker's Island and let out only for the trial.
“The average observer must now, after hearing defendant’s recent attacks, draw the conclusion that if they become involved in these proceedings, even tangentially, they should worry not only for themselves but for their loved ones as well,” Judge Merchan wrote. “Such concerns will undoubtedly interfere with the fair administration of justice, and constitute a direct attack on the rule of law itself.”

Trump's Easter Sunday message on his failing social media network consisted of seven words about Easter and 161 words complaining about the legal system and his various enemies. We won't print Trump's message here because there's nothing he says that's worth hearing. However, it's worth noting that descriptive words in his message included (in caps) "EVIL," "SICK," "DERANGED," "CORRUPT," and "CROOKED" — all words which perfectly describe Trump himself!
